Overview

EW-PIS3616M-8GE combines eight Gigabit PoE RJ45 ports with eight Gigabit SFP connections for industrial copper-and-fiber networks. Web and console management provide VLANs, ring-network functions and traffic controls, while redundant DC inputs and a fanless DIN-rail enclosure support operation from −40°C to +75°C.

VLANs and redundancy

802.1Q and port-based VLANs, with support for up to 4096 VLANs. RSTP, fast ring-network functions, static port aggregation and loop detection/avoidance.

Traffic management

IGMP snooping, broadcast/multicast/unicast storm suppression, port input/output bandwidth controls and multi-to-one port mirroring. Copper ports support automatic speed and duplex negotiation with MDI/MDIX.

Administration and maintenance

Web and RS232 console administration. DHCP client, configuration upload/download, firmware upload, web-based factory reset and system logs.

Power planning

Ports 1–8 support IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices. The per-port maximum is 30W; overall delivery depends on the selected DC supply and system power budget. Use the input rating marked on the supplied PoE unit when selecting its power source.

Environment and fiber selection

Operating humidity: 10–90%, non-condensing. Storage: −40°C to +85°C and 5–95% RH, non-condensing. Match SFP modules to the fiber type and required reach; module-dependent distances are not fixed switch specifications.
