Overview

EW-PIS6810M-8GE is a DIN-rail L2+ managed industrial PoE switch for surveillance, transportation and industrial automation. Eight Gigabit PoE ports connect and power field devices, while two 1G/2.5G SFP uplinks provide fiber connectivity. Redundant DC inputs and an IP40 aluminum enclosure support operation from −40 to +85 °C.

Fiber and link planning

SFP modules are ordered separately, with single-mode/multimode and single-fiber/dual-fiber options. Copper links reach up to 100 m with Cat5e or better cable at Gigabit speed. Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X are supported. Optical reach depends on the selected module and fiber.

VLAN and redundancy

Port-, protocol-, MAC- and voice-based VLANs; IEEE 802.1Q and QinQ; Access/Trunk/Hybrid port modes. LACP and static aggregation; STP/RSTP/MSTP; G.8032 ERPS ring redundancy.

Routing, multicast and QoS

Software-based static/default routing and inter-VLAN communication; 128 static/default routes and 1,024 ARP entries. IGMP/MLD Snooping v1/v2 and multicast VLANs. Eight queues per port, 802.1p/DSCP mapping, SP/WRR scheduling, rate limiting and port mirroring.

PoE and installation

PoE pins: 1/2 (+), 3/6 (−). Configure per-port power, priority, delayed start and schedules. RS232 console settings: 115200 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. Power, link/activity and PoE LEDs show operating status. Power supply and SFP modules are not included.

Industrial immunity
