Overview

EW-CPE616 provides directional wireless backhaul for outdoor Ethernet and camera networks. It supports point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links, a Gigabit PoE/WAN interface and one-key pairing for deployments up to 5km in suitable line-of-sight conditions.

Long-distance backhaul

A 14dBi directional antenna supports aligned outdoor links for cameras and remote network sites.

Gigabit uplink interface

A 10/100/1000Mbps PoE/WAN port and a separate 10/100Mbps LAN port provide wired connections.

Simple outdoor setup

One-key pairing, signal indicators and bridge AP/client modes simplify installation and alignment.

Link capacity

900Mbps is the manufacturer’s nominal radio rate, not guaranteed application throughput. The LAN port is limited to 100Mbps; use the Gigabit PoE/WAN interface where higher wired capacity is needed. Distance depends on alignment, obstacles and radio conditions.

Power selection

The datasheet consistently specifies 24V passive PoE. Its DC-input descriptions conflict between 12V and 24V; confirm the label on the supplied unit before choosing a local DC adapter. The package includes two 24V PoE adapters.

Bridge configuration

Supports WPA2, hidden SSID, AP/client bridge modes, transmit-power settings, channel selection, DHCP or static IP, firmware upgrades and configuration through a Web interface.
