Overview

EW-S1818CG-AP provides 16 Gigabit PoE access ports and two Gigabit RJ45 uplinks for cameras, wireless access points and other powered devices. It supports IEEE 802.3af/at, a 300W power supply and DIP-switch modes for extend, isolation and PoE watchdog operation.

300W PoE system

DIP-switch modes

E enables up to 300m transmission at 10Mbps on the selected link while other ports retain normal rates within 100m. V enables isolation and VLAN behavior on ports 1–16. D enables AI-PoE watchdog/self-healing on ports 1–16. Port priority is enabled by default.

PoE delivery

Ports 1–16 support IEEE 802.3af/at with default pins 1/2 (+) and 3/6 (−). The 30W figure is the per-port maximum; the available simultaneous output is constrained by the 300W supply.

Ethernet operation

Store-and-forward switching, automatic speed negotiation and MDI/MDIX. The source lists 10/100/1000Mbps operation and twisted-pair links up to 100m, with the extend mode providing the stated longer reach.

Installation and environment

Fanless desktop, wall or 19-inch 1U installation. Operating humidity: 5–90%, non-condensing. Storage: −40°C to +75°C and 5–95% RH. IP30 enclosure.

Protection and status

Power and link/activity indicators are provided. ESD protection is ±8kV contact / ±15kV air; surge protection is power ±4kV common mode / ±2kV differential mode and ports ±4kV.
