Overview

EW-S6818 provides 16 auto-negotiating 100/1000/2500Mbps RJ45 ports and two 10G SFP+ uplinks for high-speed desktop, office and surveillance networks. Its unmanaged plug-and-play design supports wire-speed forwarding in a rack-mountable enclosure.

2.5G access

Sixteen multi-Gigabit RJ45 ports negotiate 100, 1000 or 2500Mbps.

10G uplinks

Two SFP+ slots connect high-capacity fiber uplinks.

Plug and play

Unmanaged forwarding with auto MDI/MDIX and no setup software.

Rack-ready

Port negotiation

RJ45 ports auto-negotiate 100/1000/2500Mbps and support auto MDI/MDIX. Use compatible 2.5G cabling and transceivers for the desired link rate.

Fiber uplinks

The two 10G SFP+ ports accept separately selected optical modules. Fiber reach and mode depend on the installed modules; the switch does not include optics.

Forwarding and indicators

Store-and-forward switching with 16K MAC learning. LEDs show power and link/activity, with separate indications for 2.5G and 10/100/1000M on access ports.

Installation and environment

Desktop or rack mounting. Operating humidity: 5–90%, non-condensing. Storage: −40°C to +75°C and 5–95% RH. IP30 enclosure; surge rating for ports is ±6kV.
